At Window World, we want you to be comfortable with every step of the window replacement process, from ordering to installation. To help the installation process go smoothly, educate yourself on what to expect:
Before the Installation
Before our installers arrive, we ask that you remove any curtains, drapes, or other window dressings on the windows we’ll be working with. Also, be sure your alarm company disconnects any security sensors on the windows. If you have any paintings or pictures hanging on the wall close to the window, you will want to take them down. Window removal and installation can cause the wall to shake, which can in turn cause pictures to fall.
During the Installation
Our professionals usually install windows from the inside of the house, so they may have to move your furniture aside to access the window. During the removal and installation process, you will experience some heating or cooling loss as air escapes outside. However, this is usually minimal, and you’ll find that your energy savings from your new windows far outweigh this cost. Installing a window usually takes about 30 minutes, and we can usually complete any job in one day. When our installers leave, they will remove all debris from the job, including your old windows.
After the Installation
Every window we install comes with a limited lifetime warranty. If you have any problems with your window, we encourage you to visit our website for some easy do-it-yourself tips that can solve most problems. If you’re still having a problem, call or email us as soon as possible, so we can repair it.
We want your window installation to be as easy and convenient as possible. Call Window World Lincoln at (402) 464-7313 to start choosing the right windows for your home.

Windows are one of the major ways that warm air can escape from your house to the outside during winter months. However, as this video will tell you, Energy Star-labeled windows can make this issue a thing of the past.
These innovative windows are twice as energy efficient as windows made just ten years ago. They block at least 70% of solar heat in the summer and keep heat inside during winter months. Argon gas between the window panes provides insulation, and weather stripping all around the window frame keeps heat where it should be.
In Lincoln, we all know that heating costs can make a put dent in your pocketbook. Cut down on your costs by installing Energy Star windows from Window World Lincoln. To get started, call us today at (402) 464-7313.

While the warm sunshine may be welcome in your cold home now, you don’t want to spend the summer sweating. Explore reasons to upgrade your windows to low-e glass before the seasonal shifts:
Reduced Energy Usage
Windows with reflective coatings are able to significantly reduce the amount of heat that transfers into your home. These properties help to mitigate changes in home temperature caused by outdoor sunlight. Air conditioners and heaters use huge amounts of energy to stabilize an indoor climate. Thus, reducing changes in temperature also limits energy use by power-hungry HVAC systems. EnergyStar.gov reports residential homeowners can save up to 15% on their home energy bills just from upgrading their windows.
Boosted Building Value
A new set of low-e windows and doors is a great way to elevate property values. A report from Remodeling Magazine showed that replacement windows can recoup their value by nearly 85% across the nation. High-end low-e installments are an easy sell for environmentally conscious home buyers. Business owners can also take advantage of low-e benefits. Data from a 2009 Maastricht University study found that U.S. office properties increase sale value by 17% per square foot after installing Energy Star products.
Increased Interior Comfort
Not all low-e windows are designed to serve the same climate. Choosing the right replacement will help make your home more comfortable during extreme seasons. Cold weather glass is great at preventing heat loss during the winter. Likewise, windows with low-solar gain are designed to keep heat out of the home. This feature is especially useful for environments dominated by high temperatures and sunlight.
Consider a replacement window upgrade if your home is rocked by expensive power bills. Reduce monthly costs by keeping the heat out of your household. Explore the benefits of low-e glass further with a call to Window World Lincoln at (402) 464-7313.
